An exquisite Herend porcelain figure group depicting the Phoenician Princess Europa and the Bull, inspired by the classical myth from Ovid’s Metamorphoses. Finely modeled and hand-painted in soft pearlescent white with subtle pastel accents, the nude Europa is shown gracefully seated on the back of Zeus in bull form, holding a garland of flowers she collected at the seashore while her flowing hair and poised gesture capture a sense of motion and elegance. This is part of the Herend Nudes Collection. Based upon the classical Greek myth.
Dimensions: 13 1/2" H x 17" L x 8" D
Condition: Finely executed. Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The glaze is intact with high gloss and no visible wear. Minimal base rubbing consistent with careful display.
