Juan Eugenio Mingorance (Mexican, 1906-1979) "Montes de Mexico" oil painting on canvas circa 1969 depicting an impressionist landscape with a rocky stream along a hill dotted with foliage rendered in vibrant blue, purple, orange, and green. Signed and dated lower right, titled on the verso.
Displayed within a thick custom carved gilt wood frame.

About the Artist:
Juan-Eugenio Mingorance-Navas was a Spanish-born artist known for painting landscapes, still lives, and people. He spent periods living in Malaga, Paris, and New York, before settling in Monterrey, New Mexico. He held numerous exhibitions throughout his life with his work earning a multitude of awards, and established a workshop with other celebrated artists.
