Item Description
Herend Hungary hand-painted porcelain vase (model 7183/RO) in the Rothschild Bird pattern. The vase features a classic amphora form with gracefully scrolled double handles embellished in 24K gold accents, rising to a flared rim with a fine gilt edge. Each side displays a different hand-painted bird scene, depicting vividly colored songbirds perched on flowering branches with necklaces and accompanied by butterflies and insects in flight. These naturalistic vignettes are framed by delicate gold trim. Underside bears the Herend Hungary blue shield hallmark with crossed paintbrushes and HANDPAINTED mark, along with the pattern and form numbers 7183/RO in red script.
DImensions: 8 1/8" H x 4" DIA
Condition: Excellent overall condition. No chips, cracks, or restorations. The hand-painted decoration is crisp and vibrant, and the gilding remains bright and intact with minimal age-related wear visible only upon close inspection. Base is clean and fully marked with the Herend hallmark and impressed model references. Slight expected shelf wear to the unglazed rim.
