David Datuna (Georgian-American, B. 1974) "Stars" mixed media artwork depicting a monochromatic American flag comprised of printed snippets of text mounted to a board overlaid by reading glasses lenses in clear acrylic lens frames accented with rhinestones throughout. The glasses lenses and rhinestones catch the light and distort the imagery behind in an eye-catching manner that feels dynamic and experiential. With a certificate of authenticity from Gilles Clement Westport Gallery.
Presented within a white frame.

*Note: The way the artwork appears in person is different from the photography. In person the artwork appears blurry and distorted due to the eyeglasses lenses. Cameras are able see through the glasses and capture the image behind it, making it appear crisper.
Condition: Sun struck with some wear to the frame, commensurate with some sun exposure, but despite wear commensurate with some age and display, the work presents exceptionally well overall.
