Dale Rogers (American, b. 20th C.) "Ravens Evermore" Cor-Ten and painted steel sculpture. The whimsical garden sculpture was crafted after Edgar Allan Poe's famous literary work "The Raven".
Signed to the vertical pedestal, and titled to the top bar / perch, in between the three perched ravens.
Provenance: A private collection, Greenwich, CT. Dale Rogers Studio.

About the Artist:
Dale Rogers is as an artist who strives to create works with whimsical shapes and animal form sculptures that interact with the viewer in pleasing ways.
Rogers use of painted Steel and Cor-Ten Steel incorporates materials with relatively low maintenance and long life properties. Rogers notes it is what urban areas, including the Federal government, most often use to construct bridges from, due to Cor-Ten steels notorious durability.
Cor-Ten is known to oxidize over time and additionally by oxidizing, the metal self seals. Rogers has noted of Cor-Ten steel "It offers an organic and simple element to the sculptures while the Stainless Steel brings in a little more pizzazz and punch."

There is rust and oxidation commensurate with age and use and display in the outdoors in the Northeast. See lot images but overall presents handsomely and a fun way to incorporate sculpture into your environment.
