About the Artist:

Early in his career, he taught painting at girls' high schools in China before beginning to exhibit his work around Shanghai. In 1947, Chi moved to the United States and worked at the National Arts Club for forty years. Renowned for his watercolors and illustrations, Chi became the first living Chinese artist to hold a one-man retrospective at Versailles.
