Armand Beauvais (French, 1840-1911) oil on canvas painting depicting a country landscape with hut with thatched roof in a clearing. A woman wearing a handkerchief over her head and a dark cape covering her body holds a stick as though to herd a flock of turkeys in the foreground. Signed lower right.
Presented wonderfully in an elaborately carved and gilt finished wood and gesso frame bearing a brass name plaque to the lower center.

Some craquelure to the center of the work with nics and slight wear around the trim. Minor losses and gentle wear to the frame additionally but overall the painting presents well.
